There are many special events taking place in the upcoming Girl Scout year at Camp Pine Acres. We were lucky enough to get a “preview” before the events get posted to the catalog in July. Please take a look and email or comment with your interest so we can plan for the upcoming year.
October 24, 2008 2-8pm: Spookymoor Day Event for Families
Families can choose from hayride, fun games, inflatables, and a fall hike. Food will be available at a minimum cost Saturday evening. Horseback riding is available for an additional fee. Pet-A-Pony (1st-3rd graders) is $8. Riding Lessons (3rd grade +) or Trail ride (4th grade +) is $20. Event fee is $20 per girl, $10 per adult. December 13th, 2008 10:30am – 5pm: Winter Wonderland Day event for Families
Get in the holiday spirit and join us for a hot meal and a warm, giving soul. Bring a new gift to donate to another child for the holiday. Activities may include winter games, crafts, holiday tree lighting, campfire holiday songs & smores, and additional surprises. Bring one adult per child and troop leader. All girls must be registered Girl Scouts. Horseback riding is available for additional fee. Pet-A-Pony (1st-3rd graders) is $8. Riding Lessons (3rd grade +) or Trail ride (4th grade +) is $20. April 17th – 19th 2009: Brownie Outdoor Try-It Trek
A two-night camp for Brownie Girl Scouts. Earn 4 try-its: Morning and afternoon options may include

- Girl Sports
- Make it, Eat It
- Sports and Games
- Earth and Sky
- Friend of Horses
Evening options may include: Dancersize, Her Story, Science in Action, Making Music, and Eat Right Stay Healthy. Cabin Units are available for additional fee of $5 per person. Event fee is $65 per girl, $23 per adult. Includes 4 meals.
